For the past three years, no one has known exactly what's been going on with Chris Brown and Rihanna . When did she forgive him? How did they end up making music together? Are they back on? Did Chris dump his girlfriend and sneak onto her yacht in France? Who knows?
Well, we do now, thanks to Rihanna's upcoming TV special on Oprah Winfrey 's show.
In new previews for the emotional interview, which airs on August 19th, Rihanna opens up about Chris and how she felt about him after her brutally attacked her three years ago.
She tells Oprah:
“As angry as I was - as angry and hurt and betrayed - I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help. And who's going to help him? Nobody's going to say he needs help, everybody's going to say he's a monster, without looking at the source. And I was more concerned about him.”
More concerned about Chris than her own face, which took quite the beating at his hands? Rihanna does have a unique take on life.
In another clip for the interview, Rihanna said that when Chris attacked her on the eve of the Grammy Awards in 2009, "it was embarrassing, it was humiliating… I lost my best friend.”
Chris Brown was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community labour following the incident back in 2009.
The interviews airs on August 19 on Oprah’s OWN channel, and we can’t wait to FINALLY hear Rihanna open up about her relationship with Chris Brown.
