ANDREA IYAMAH FALL/WINTER 2012 COLLECTION

Have you ever been tied up with thoughts of being a strong, independent traditional woman, but yet, sophisticated and elegant!Maybe after a Nollywood Movie with Onyeka Onwenu as the start actress. You admire the creativity behind the ancient typical traditional costumes and wonder weather the years has gone that far.Have you!
Andrea Iyamah 2012 fall/winter collection "Ndu",an ibo word which means "strength". She successfully found the missing pieces to perfection as she portrays the daring, strong, feminine quality of an African woman using distinct cuts, prints and beads.

“I wanted a collection that was sultry, confident, risky and yet elegant. The collection was shot in GRA, Lagos Nigeria whereby the model on the railway symbolizes the knowledge of knowing the risk of taking particular steps in life… but yet you take it anyway. In every collection I release, I try to tell a story about a stage of my life I’m facing….this stage is one of consistent motivation, effort and of course ‘Ndu’ (strength) ” – Andrea Iyamah
